Our Process

Upholstery tend to attract many an unwelcome guest – such as tiny bugs and mites, pollen, dust, allergens and mold. All of these combined, if not treated and cleaned out regularly can cause quite a lot of damage.

From heavily soiled to light cleaning, our 10 step cleaning process is designed to restore your furniture as close to its original condition as possible. We can clean all types of upholstery, even the most delicate of fabrics.

Step 1:  Pre-Inspection
We will pre-inspect your upholstered fabrics to address your areas of concern and to determine the proper cleaning method. We will also point out any potential permanent stains.

Step 2:  Pre-Vacuum
We will pre-vacuum to remove loose soil. This could account for up to 85% of the soil and is a very important step.

Step 3:  Pre-Conditioning
We will apply the proper pre-conditioner to suspend the soil for cleaning.

Step 4:  Pre-Agitate – The pre-conditioner will be worked into the fabric with a white towel or a horsehair brush, specially designed for this use.

Step 5:  Rinse and Extract
Once the soil has been loosened, we will thoroughly flush the fabric with our specially designed upholstery extraction tools. This step sanitizes and deodorizes the fabric. Water pressure is regulated so that the fabric is not over wet.

Step 6:  Neutralize
Every piece that we clean is pH balanced so there is no sticky residue left behind. This treatment is applied as a rinse through the machine or is applied after rinsing – depending on soiling conditions.

Step 7:  Spot treatment
If any spots are not removed during the cleaning process, specialty spotting techniques are employed – we have written procedures for every situation.

Step 8:  Post Cleaning
If the fabric has a nap, the nap is set in one direction using a grooming brush or a white towel.

Step 9:  Post Inspection
Your upholstery is inspected by the technician.

Step 10:  Optional Fabric Protection
Applying fabric protection will help guard your fabric from both dry and liquid soil. To keep your upholstered fabrics looking as new as possible, we recommend applying fabric protection after each professional cleaning.
